Objective
To coordinating Bed / Patient Management, Transfer in & out of the ward along with nursing, Coordinating smooth Discharge process of a patient from the Hospital, Indent stationeries.
Principal Accountabilities :
Principal Accountabilities
(A) Operational
• Patient’s flow at ward Booking, Canceling and rescheduling of various appointments in Coordination with various departments to ensure smooth day today activities.
• Bed Management / Transfer in & out of the ward coordination along with nursing.
• Parting general information to all and other information as per the policies of the organization, Receiving messages and informing as per policies specified.
• Answer general queries.
• Coordinate collection of reports from various departments as informed by nurses.
• Coordinate diagnostic appointments for IPD patients.
• Coordinate bill clearances along with nursing to ensure smooth discharge of patients.
• Handle phone calls in absence of nurses.
• Coordinating Bed management / Transfer in & out of the ward along with nursing.
• Coordination with other departments for transferring IN and OUT of the patient.
• Send finally updated patient files to Medical Records Department on daily basis. They have to ensure dispatching death related forms to MRD within 24 hours.
• Coordinate smooth discharge process along with nursing.
• Coordinate diagnostic appointments for IPD patients
• Assist nurses while new patients are being received on the floors as and when required.
• Coordinate indenting of stationeries from stores to maintain stock at ward level.
• Ensure collection of filled feedback forms from patients while discharge either by himself / herself or through nurse and maintain data of total collection etc.
• Coordinate with various department to collect the pending reports at patient discharge after a pending report list along with the date of receiving has be handed over to ward secretary by nursing to be either sent to the report collection area or back to nurse for completion of patient file for final dispatch to medical record room.
• To coordinate the receipt of medicines through the pneumatic tube after the request has been placed by the nurse.
• Proper completion of MLC files before returning to MRD.
• ECG’s from all units are sent to cardiology unit to update in HIS.
• Maintaining records of General log book, Admission / Discharge / Lama / Death / Tr. in / Tr. out registers.
